Flavour: NOSE
Big sugary raisins, dried cherries, dark chocolate, beefy edges, butter, cream, coffee, almonds and toffee.

PALATE
More raisins, Eccles cakes, sour plums, dates, cinnamon and allspice, with a big dark woody middle. Water brings out more sweet and sour fruit, with a hint of Worcester sauce, as well as more spice, and simplifies the flavour.

FINISH
Sugared almonds and butter, with a bit of grainy wood leading to grape-skin tannins.
